Why Is It That Among People Who Are Half White N Half Hispanic, Majority Still Look More Hispanic Than White?
My niece is half Hispanic (Guatemalan) and half White (English, Portuguese, and Geman) but she still looks 100% Hispanic. Nobody would ever confuse her for being White because she is the same skin color as George Lopez.
Why are Hispanic genes on average stronger than White genes ? Meaning why is it that among people who are half Hispanic and half White, the majority of them resemble their Hispanic parent more than their White parent.
And you are aware that Hispanic/Latino isn't a race right? Many Latinos actually ARE White themselves.
I'm guessing your niece is of the Amerindian race on her Guatemalan side, which explains her dark features. Non-White genes in general are much stronger than White ones. So, if a child who's half White half 'Hispanic' is non-White on their Hispanic side, it only makes sense that they'll take on more ethnic looks.
