We adopted a great dog about 8 weeks ago and has diarrhea/very loose stools (unformed) since the day we brought him home. We did numerous stool samples, antibiotics, Predisone to no avail. He was on Science Diet which the rescue had him on, they indicated his stools were fine when he was with them. They were nice enough to take him back to their vet to try to figure out what is going on and since he got back there his stool have been completely normal, formed and solid!!! Their vet thinks it may be a behavior issue but I haven't heard of anything like this. We had him for almost 2 months, never showed any signs of nerves, slept in a Lazy Boy, became part of our family, ate good, walks and was treated great. Can't figure out what to do. They want to know if we want him back or not. I'm concerned about if he returns how long the diarrhea may continue. He is not all housebroken,crate him when we leave but we can't all leave for hours because he can't hold it that long. Help!
