Guide to Choosing the Right Glasses Frames
Searching for the perfect glasses frames can be a challenge. The first and foremost consideration should be comfort because these are worn constantly. Choose a frame that fits well but at the same time does not press too closely on the face. The frames should be wide enough and the temples not set too tightly on the side of the head. These must be of the right length and must not extend way back to the ears.
The nose pads should snugly fit without pinching the bridge of the nose. The eyeglasses should stay in place even while moving the head up and down.
Glasses frames come in different materials. Individuals who are active should consider frames that are made of durable materials. Metals are sturdier than plastic. Titanium frames are super lightweight, thin, and strong. Titanium is also suitable for people with sensitive skin as it is hypoallergenic and resists corrosion. However, it is more expensive than others.
Another strong and lightweight material is beryllium, a metal that is corrosion resistant yet cheaper than titanium. Stainless steel frames are lightweight and durable but sometimes can cause allergies. Aluminum is another lightweight metal but comes only in limited designs as it is quite difficult to shape.
For those looking for inexpensive frames, plastics have always been the popular choice. Cellulose acetate is the most common material as it is low-priced and can be made into an unlimited variety of colours and patterns. However, the colour can easily fade and frames made of plastic are relatively more easily broken than metal ones.
In choosing glasses frames, the shape of the face plays a major role. Eyewear has the ability to boost facial features and hide imperfections. The general rule in choosing the correct eyeglass frame is that the frame shape should be in contrast with the shape of the face. Thus, round faced people should avoid round frames, oval faced individuals should not wear oval frames, and so on. For broad forehead and square-chinned individuals, the best shapes would be oval and rounded frames. Narrow-faced people should consider wider and bigger styles of frames.
Eye glasses frames come in different styles. Full-rim frames are the most common. As the name implies, the frames fully surround the lens. Thus, this style can come in a variety of shapes like oval, circle, rectangle, and more. Full-rim frames are durable and best for those with active lifestyles. Semi-rimless frames cover only the top half of the lens.
The lenses are not surrounded by frames in rimless glasses. They are simply held in place by temples and the nose bridge. As expected, the frames are lightweight but not recommended for people on the go since these are the least durable of the styles. Horn-rimmed glasses lack nose pads and though these went out of style in the nineties, these are now back in fashion and are undoubtedly one of the classic eyeglasses styles.
Frames come in a variety of shades and tints and deciding on frame colour is a matter of personal preference. Classic black never goes out of style and would suit almost everyone. Silver, gold, and bronze are also mainstays in eyewear standards. Since eyewear has become a fashion accessory, frames and glasses are now being matched to hair colour and eye colour.
Colour has also become a major factor in eyewear trends. Mens Police sunglasses feature a brand new collection that focus on blue mirrored lenses on acetate and metal frames. This is reminiscent of the Police eyewear Blue Lens Eighties that took the fashion scene by storm. Mens Police sunglasses continue to exude a magnetic and rebellious image, indicative of the brands cutting edge design.
Another consideration when choosing the right glasses frames is ordinary versus designer prescription glasses. Although more expensive, the designer glasses are generally more durable. Being branded frames, these are made of excellent quality materials.
On the fashion side, going for designer prescription glasses gives more freedom in choosing suitable designs, colours, and textures as these follow the latest trends. The drawback for most people is that high street prices can be prohibitive.
Purchasing eyewear online offers more choices at incredibly lower prices than in optical shops. Choosing the right glasses frames can now be faster and easier.

Calling all the ladies!! Does this sound right to you or is my doctor a quack?
Ok so I went to the doctor today and since I have been bleeding for near 3 weeks. I haven’t had a period for 4 months before now. He put me on a prescription called Norethindrone Acetate. Which is used to treat disorder of the lining of the uterus. Which the doctor told me it will make me stop bleeding then he said afterwards I will have a very short period but no where near heavy bleeding. “12 day supply of pills” Well when this is all said and done I go back to the doc in 3 weeks and then he’s going to put me on a medication that will make me ovulate more meaning produce more eggs. I’m just total blown away by the whole thing I mean I know my periods where always different each month ranging from 32 to 45 days but I never thought I would have a problem with my ovulation guess that’s why the ovulation test always said negative. Anyone else been on this medicine or gone threw something like this?
ovulation is what drives menstruation... so your periods are off because you're not ovulating regularly... the period is the "effect".. not the "cause"... make sense?
